Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Training
It has been known for while that there is a growing need for multi-craft maintenance mechanics. Traditionally employers where hiring electricians and mechanics to support their maintenance needs, which has resulted in limited resources when maintenance issues would come up. Over several decades many employers and their employees have managed to cross train to multi-crafts, this also has limitations due to formal education in their respected areas.
We are offering entry level traditional educational training, where each student will have the opportunity to learn the basic principles of electrical and mechanical theories and the practical applications. This program will address the purposes of the multi-craft and how they encompass the variety of technical skill areas. These are some of the areas, but not limited to:
Current issues that most employers are faced with are the levels of qualified maintenance mechanics; this is mainly due to the ageing workforce and rapid amount of retirements. The current generation of the workforce isn’t well prepared and qualified to meet the job skills requirements. Our approach will help meet these qualification challenges, by traditional education modules:
Who can enroll: 18 years and older, with a completed high school or equivalent, employed or unemployed
Class Type: In classroom
Class size: Minimum of 12 and maximum of 20 students per class.
Class Schedule: Monday to Friday for 3 weeks (15 consecutive days)
Alternative Schedule: if you are employed weekend class schedules
Class Hours: 7 am - 4 pm (one morning break, lunch break, and afternoon break)
Cost: $5000 per student
What’s included with the cost:
Qualifications: This would be an entry level or pre-apprenticeship level. Some entry level jobs for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics start at ($20 to $22 per hour depending on the industry and company). After years of experience in the field and additional education the pay rates are known to be $25 to $40 per hour.
